Legal text is a line or a paragraph of text that encourages your venues customers to drink responsibly. It is important that your menus contain a line of legal text compliant with your brand and markets regulations, on at least 1 page of your menu.
To add legal text to your design
- In the Hyble sidebar, scroll down to the "Legal Text" category. (This is the final category at the bottom of the sidebar.)
- Select the style of legal text you’d like to use. You can choose from three options:
- Dark Text – black text
- Light Text – white text
- Theme Text – a text colour automatically selected to complement your menu’s theme
- Once selected, the legal text will appear on the current page of your menu.
If you’d like to add legal text to multiple pages, simply navigate to each page and repeat the same process.
Colour
You have 3 options for changing the colour of your legal text which are:
Dark Text - Black legal text
Light Text - White legal text
Theme Text - With this option, the colour of the legal text will change to complement the theme that you select. For a theme with a light coloured background, the legal text will be dark and vice versa.
Position
There are 2 scales with which you can adjust the position of your legal text. Vertical positioning adjusts the height of the text, and horizontal positioning adjusts how far to the left or to the right of your design the text is. Please ensure that your legal text is positioned to be visible on your menu.
Width
Text width, sometimes called 'wrap', determines how wide or how tall your text will be, and how many lines it will be spread across. Less width = more height, and more width = less height!
Apply to All
This option will copy your legal text over from your current page to all your pages. This includes the colour, width, and positioning of the text.
If you make any changes to the legal text on a page and want this change to be reflected on additional pages, you will need to select “Apply to all” again for these changes to pull through.
Important Notes
- Visibility: Ensure that the legal text is clearly visible and contrasts well with your background.
- Compliance: You are responsible for ensuring that your legal text meets all regulatory requirements in your region.
